The AGEE Framework: critical engagements from discussions on gender and the capability approach

Monday 27th September 2021, 1-2pm BST

The AGEE project proposes a new measurement framework for gender equality in education, based on insights from the capability approach. By drawing on this body of work, the project aims to provide a clear approach for researchers, policy makers and practitioners through the development of a new framework of indicators, thereby also improving accountability processes; and also seeks to assess the specific disruptive effects of COVID and climate change on girls’ education and gender equality in education.

This event, which takes place as part of the Human Development and Capability Association (HDCA) Global Dialogue 2021, begins with an overview of the project. The event will also offer critical reflections from key scholars working in the field of capabilities, gender and education on the framework, and will also be an opportunity for suggestions and feedback from the wider capabilities community.

Registration for the HDCA Global Dialogue is free, please go to https://hd-ca.org/conferences/hdca-global-dialogue-2021#anchor3 for more details and the full programme.
